Cryolipolysis AKA Fat Freezing
What is the skinny on Cryolipolysis?

This procedure is done in one of our comfortable private treatment rooms at Golden Aesthetics Medspa. Through the use of modern medical tools, Cryolipolysis breaks down fat, making it one of the most popular body enhancements available today. The size and shape of the specified fat deposit is assessed, and a treatment plan is created. Clients can relax and may choose to read, listen to music catch up on a favorite program during the procedure (headphones are necessary). Clients will be provided water before and after the procedure to prevent dehydration.

An applicator is used to freeze the layer of fat cells underneath the skin. First, a gel pad is applied to the area to protect the skin. Next, the fatty bulge is suctioned or vacuumed into the applicator’s hollow opening. You will feel a tugging or pulling sensation as suction is applied. These sensations, intense cold plus other possible sensations such as tingling, or stinging lessen after 5 to 10 minutes as the area becomes numb during the cooling down process. The fat layer is gradually cooled to the target temperature of between 30.2- and 39.2-degrees Fahrenheit.

It takes approximately 30 minutes to treat an area. After the area is treated, the applicator is removed. The area is massaged for 2 to 3 minutes to assist with the breakdown of the fat cells. The area can then be treated with Ultrasonic Cavitation or RF Skin Tightening or both depending on your treatment plan.

How does it destroy fat cells?

The cold temperature injures the fat cells. The injury triggers an inflammatory response by the body, which results in the death of the fat cells. Macrophages, a type of white blood cells and part of the body’s immune system, are called to the injury location to remove the dead fat cells and debris from the body.

How much fat can I expect to lose from cryolipolysis and when will I start to see results?

On average, patients usually see fat reduction of between 15 and 28 percent at around 3 months after initial treatment. However, you may notice changes as early as 3 weeks after treatment. Dramatic improvement is noticed after about 2 months. Results may vary depending on lifestyle and habits. A balanced diet and daily exercise such as stretching, or walking will improve results.

After your treatment.
There is no downtime associated with the treatment and you may resume normal activities.
Is some instances skin may appear red in the area treated for up to 2 weeks, continue to keep the area moisturized.
Drink plenty of water to stay hydrated and help with the elimination of fat cells.
A brisk walk or 10 minutes on our exercise simulator is recommended.

RF Skin Tightening
Radio Frequency treatments use heat to damage the tissue beneath the epidermis without negatively impacting the outward appearance of the skin.

Some Clients may notice skin tightening immediately after one treatment but a minimum of 4 treatments is recommended for best results. Final results can take up to 3 months as skin continues to improve. Generally with proper skin care, results last for two to three years.
Radio Frequency treatments are performed in a relaxing atmosphere and are sometimes described as feeling similar to a hot stone massage. The technician applies ultrasound gel to the area being treated and the RF device is moved across the area slowly applying heat. The device is kept in constant motion while heat is applied to the skin throughout the entire treatment. Each treatment lasts 20-30 minutes ensuring that the skin reaches the optimum level for skin tightening. Although rare some clients may experience minor discomfort from the heat most find it comfortable and enjoyable.

RF treatments can be used on areas of the body including the abdomen, arms, thighs, and buttocks. It can also be used for the purpose of body contouring, which reduces fat in addition to tightening sagging skin and wrinkles.
-
Abdomen, thighs, and buttocks – RF treatments are an effective body contouring method for these areas and are even effective at reducing skin laxity in those post pregnancy.
-
Arm – loose skin on the arm can be tightened but multiple treatments may be required before there is a noticeable improvement.
RF skin tightening on the body also reduces the appearance of cellulite on the abdomen, thighs, arms and buttocks.

Tips for maximum results:
-
Treatment is performed on bare skin. Robes and drape cloths will be provided for your privacy.
-
Following a healthy eating plan and continuing with regular exercise will enhance your results.

After your treatment
There is no downtime associated with the treatment and you may resume normal activities.
Keep skin moisturized and protected with sunscreen.
Avoid exposing the area to the sun for extended periods of time.

Muscle Sculpting
Muscle Sculpting is a revolutionary way to strengthen muscles, contour and reshape areas of the body including buttocks, arms legs, and abs (think six-pack).
It’s ideal for waist circumference reduction, creating muscle definition, lifting, and reshaping the buttocks and strengthening legs, arms, and shoulders.
It provides intensive continuous contractions (the equivalent of more than 20,000 crunches, squats, or curls) which is ideal for burning calories, muscle growth and body toning.
It is an extremely efficient treatment that takes place over the course of 10-14 days, rather than months, producing a more toned body within 2-4 weeks and continued improvement over the next 6-12 weeks.

How it works

Muscle Sculpting uses a focused electromagnetic field with a safe intensity level to pass through skin and fat and trigger supramaximal muscle contractions. The electromagnetic field can engage the entire target muscle group. As we know from physics, intensity of electromagnetic field declines exponentially with distance. Even 1cm of thick fat will dramatically reduce the intensity of the magnetic field reaching the muscles. High magnetic output therefore is key to successful treatment outcome.
Contrary to voluntary muscle contractions, the supramaximal contractions are independent of brain function. The magnetic stimulation uses a specific range of frequencies that does not allow muscle relaxation between two consecutive stimulations. The muscle is forced to remain in a contracted state for multiple seconds. When repeatedly exposed to these high load conditions, the muscle tissue is stressed and is forced to adapt.
What to expect from a session
A trained specialist will review your intake paperwork, take your body measurements, and will create a plan tailored to help you achieve your desired results by focusing on a particular type of workout or a combination of workouts. The workouts are designed to either increase muscle growth, strengthen muscle, or provide an aerobic workout. A targeted workout plan and body position will ensure the best outcome.

Let's get started
You will lie down on a comfortable spa treatment table. Your specialist will advise you on what position will give you maximum results so a pillow may be placed under the area being treated. Two applicator paddles are placed on the target muscle area, such as abs, hamstrings, thighs, arms, or buttocks.
Each session will last 30 minutes and will begin with a mild stretch. Immediately after the stretch a warmup session will start to increase your muscle temperature and enable oxygen to become more available to your muscles, allowing them to contract and relax more easily.
The first of 4 five-minute workouts will then begin as the applicators generate intense magnetic stimulations that cause involuntary muscle contractions. These contractions trigger the release of free fatty acids, which help break down fat deposits and increase muscle tone and strength. Just like a workout, the stimulation rebuilds and repairs muscle tissue, resulting in stronger, firmer muscles.
Your session will end with a cool down to prevent lactic acid buildup that can cause muscle cramping and soreness so there is no downtime associated with the treatment and you will walk away feeling great.
Two sessions per week for two-three weeks are the recommended treatment plan for optimal results. A maximum of two areas (1-hour total time) may be treated at each session. The treatment itself is comfortable and you are able to relax while the device performs the equivalent of more than 20,000 crunches, squats, or curls.

There is no downtime associated with the treatment and you may resume normal activities.
Tips for maximum results:
-
Do not arrive with a full stomach, eat a light meal at least an hour before your session.
-
Do not drink or eat during your session.
-
Skin should be clear of any lotions or oils.
-
Treatment is best on bare skin or very thin material, recommend clothing is light yoga pants or shorts for abs, glutes, hamstrings, and thighs. Tank tops for arms. Robes and drape cloths will be provided for your privacy.
-
Do not wear clothing or undergarments with metal closures.
-
Following a healthy eating plan and continuing with regular exercise will enhance your results.

Ultrasonic Cavitation
What is it?
Ultrasonic or ultrasound cavitation uses ultrasound technology to break down fat cells. It is a non-evasive method of reducing cellulite and localized fat as well as toning the body for a smoother, slimmer appearance.

How Does it Work?
This procedure involves using a smooth hand piece to move across the skin while applying pressure on fat cells through ultrasonic vibrations. The pressure is high enough to make the fat cells break down into a liquid form. The body can then get rid of it as waste through your urine.

This method is effective when used along with other methods of weight loss to help with getting rid of excessive fat. It is important to note that the lasting results are determined by you and that the weight could return if you consume a higher than appropriate calorie diet.

What is the average treatment time?
The average treatment for one area should be completed in one to two sessions weekly for a total of 4-6 sessions. Each session is 30 minutes. It takes about 6 to 12 weeks to see the results of ultrasonic cavitation.

Which body parts are best for ultrasonic cavitation?
Ultrasonic cavitation works best on parts with localized fat such as the abdomen, thighs, hips, and upper arms, buttocks and upper back (bra line). This procedure is not performed on bony areas of the body such as the head or neck.

What are the results?
Ultrasonic cavitation reduces fat deposits that could be hard to get rid of by dieting and exercising alone. It is important to note that this procedure cannot be used for weight loss treatment on its own and should be combined with a healthy diet and regular daily exercise. Ultrasonic cavitation is best for reducing cellulite and adipose fat. This improves body shape and contour and reduces circumference.
